White Night Melbourne, an all-night cultural festival as part of the international White Night programmes, continues to attract monster crowds in Melbourne's CBD. The 2014 event, co-sponsored by the Bank of Melbourne, brought 500,000 visitors to the city and was an extravaganza of light projections, art installations and gallery tours. Bank of Melbourne commissioned Paper Tiger to produce 2,000 stools which were dropped by the truck-load for one of the event's open-air film screenings. All remaining stools were collected in the morning for recycling but many made their way home on trams and trains.
